Rachel Bigsby

Rachel's photographic philosophy is rooted in authenticity and emotional resonance. Whether working with intentional camera movement, multiple exposures, or stripped-back minimalist compositions, her aim is always to offer a fresh perspective on familiar subjects without losing sight of the natural world she is depicting. Her journey with Nikon began at seventeen, when she spent her first wages on a Nikon D3300 on Christmas Eve, walking straight from her shift to the electronics shop opposite. That instinct has never left her. After years of development, including time spent working in a camera repair shop where she saved enough to purchase a second-hand D850, she built the portfolio that would eventually bring her international recognition. Today, as a Nikon Creator working with the Z9 system, she relies on the Nikon Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S as her primary lens, valuing its balance of reach, portability, and image quality across demanding field conditions. The NIKKOR Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena has also become an important creative tool, producing atmospheric environmental portraits that place wildlife firmly within the landscapes they call home.
